Dear Parents and Volunteers,

Estimados padres y voluntarios,

COVID-19 is a very serious health issue and I trust you are all taking the necessary precautions. Isolate yourself and your family, this is not the time for letting kids rule the house saying they need a “playdate”.

A website has been set up for Mono County residents to provide updates: https://coronavirus.monocounty.ca.gov/

Additionally, here are a few articles I found helpful explaining why we are social distancing and the impact it will have on lives saved. If left unchecked this virus would kill millions (yes millions, no exaggeration).

MCLL PLANS:
At preset time we will delay the start of our season until May 11th per Little League International’s recommendation. Once teams have been drafted (see below) we will be notifying coaches when it is appropriate to start practices: https://www.littleleague.org/player-safety/coronavirus-update/

Registration – We have extended registration through April 13th – late fees waived, if you paid a late fee it can be refunded upon request. Register here: http://teampages.com/organizations/20283/pages/177718

Draft – Originally scheduled for March 26th at the Community Center will now take place mid-April and done online with a Zoom meeting.

Coaches – We are still finalizing coach lists, if you are interested and have not submitted you info, please email mcll@m5group.com

Mandatory Coach Medical Training – Originally scheduled for March 26th at the Community Center will now take place mid-April and done online with a Zoom meeting.

Mandatory Coach Training (how to run a practice, drills, make sure kids sign up next year, dealing with difficult parents, etc.) – Originally scheduled for March 26th at the Community Center will now take place mid-April and done online with a Zoom meeting.

Aces game in Reno – originally scheduled for 4/26 has been canceled, those that have purchased tickets will be refunded in the manner they paid.

Opening Ceremony – date TBD (was May 2nd)

MLB HR Derby and MLB Pitch, Hit & Run – date TBD (was May 3rd)

Closing Ceremony and BBQ – date TBD (was June 13th)

Please be safe and make the right decisions to help save lives. When in doubt, ask yourself: “How would I act and what would I do if I had the virus?”

Sincerely,
Neil McConnell
President, MCLL

Estimados padres y voluntarios,

Sinceramente,
Neil McConnell
Presidente de MCLL

Go to the "View Schedule" drop down menu in the upper left corner to change divisions. You can click on each heading to arrange the schedule by date, home team, etc.  You can also go to the drop down menu under "Team" to get the schedule for your team only.

Parents,

Please dress you players, especially the T-ball and Farm players, warmly! The evenings get cold. A long sleeve under the jersey is a good idea plus take a jacket for them. Maybe gloves too. Also, don't forget sunscreen!

Once again it’s the time of year to reach out to our community to ask for sponsorship money. The support of sponsors through the years has allowed us to keep league fees low for the hundreds of local children that play baseball each year. We have also been able to purchase new equipment including catcher’s gear, bats, balls, bags, nets and pitching aids.

We hope you can commit to helping this year. If you would like to sponsor, please refer to the attached form linked below for the different levels of sponsorship available, complete the form and hand to any MCLL Board member or send it along with your check made out to “Mono County Little League” to:

Mono County Little League
PO Box 18
Mammoth Lakes, CA 93546

If you have any questions, feel free to contact Neil McConnell at mcll@m5group.com

The document MCLL_-_Sponsorship_Form_2020.pdf was attached to this post.
